Can You Believe It Has Been 2 Weeks??

Our baby girl is 17 days old!!! Ellie has been busy growing. At her 2 week appt. the Dr. said she is doing great. She is now 6 lbs & 6 ozs and 19 1/2 inches! Her little legs are starting to get chunky - yea!! She has now started focusing on different objects and her favorite thing to look at right now are her toes, the book Old McDonald Had A Farm, & the warning label in her pack & play. She also has started smiling!! She smiled at me with her eyes open, it was wonderful. Some may say this is because of gas but I know it is LOVE! We have had lots of visitors & yummy food - thanks everyone. MiMi came over last Monday & Tuesday to hang out with Ellie & she also cooked and cleaned. Thanks MiMi : ) Grammie also came over on Friday to babysit so Mommy & Daddy could go out for their anniversary! Thanks Grammie. We also had lots of family over on Saturday. Ellie got to meet some of the Thomas family. She can't wait till she is bigger so she can play with Ezra, Wyatt, & Noah.

Ellie's One Week Birthday!

Yesterday was Ellie's one week birthday. We can not believe that it has been one week already! Everything has been going really well. We are getting used to the late night & early morning feedings. Ellie has been doing a great job of going back to sleep or lying quietly in her bassinet after the late feedings, so Mommy is able to go back to sleep! Daddy went back to work on Thursday. : ( We were very sad b/c he helps out so much. Daddy is looking forward to watching some golf with his baby girl this weekend. Grammie Sus Sus came to stay with Ellie & Mommy. Next week Grandma Burk will come stay with us. We are lucky to have such good Mamas. We went to the Dr. today & Ellie has gained weight!! What a relief she now weighs 6lbs & 1 oz she is making her way back to her birth weight. The Dr. said she is doing perfect. Daddy & I feel so blessed that we have a healthy girl. God is good!

Welcome Ellie!!!!!

What a blessing, our baby girl is here!!! Ellie Kate Murdoch was born @ 8:29 on the 11th. She was 6 lbs & 4 ozs. She came into the world with a sweet cry. The first thing her daddy said was "She has hair!". Daddy has a new love & she sure loves him! Her hair is a light brown and her eyes are a deep dark blue, although today I saw some brown??? Her daddy got great pictures of the delivery, although some are a little too bloody for sharing..... We came home from the hospital on Sunday and we are very happy to be here : ) She has been busy eating and sleeping. Ellie loves her hands & waving her arms & kicking her feet. She is working on sleeping at night, which used to be her active time. The 1st night home was a no sleep for mommy night, but last night was better. We had her 1st pediatrician visit on Monday and her stats are weight: 5 lbs 14oz ; height: 18 1/2 ( yes that is correct she shrunk, they measured her a few times to make sure - hospital didn't measure correct) : head; 32.9 cm. She is healthy & the Dr. said she is very strong!!!! Thanks for all the visitors, texts, and phone calls. We are so thankful for our healthy & BEAUTIFUL baby girl!
