Friends, Aquarium, & New Years
Sister really loves sunglasses!! Ellie & her neighborhood friend Sophie Ellie loves Sophie Looking @ the fishes w/ Daddy. E.K. enjoyed The Georgia Aquarium Christmas
Ellie was so much fun this Christmas, she fell in love with Santa, Reindeers, & Elves. She called Santa "C C Clause" , her fav book was the Elf on the Shelf & Twas the Night Before Christmas. Ellie enjoyed helping Daddy water the Christmas Tree, which she called "Mes mes tree". After Christmas was long gone she still would point to the corner of the den where the Christmas tree was & say "Water mes mes tree". She also enjoyed talking about presents & getting to them! She got very excited when she got a present. She wouldn't say thank you but she would walk over & give a hug to whom ever gave her the present We celebrated with Gigi, Uncle Kevie, Aunt Lala, & Uncle Brandon on Christmas Eve. Ellie was running around like a wild woman with her partner in crime - Cuz! Christmas morning was just Ellie, Adam, & I - Ellie came downstairs to her presents from Santa. She smiled & checked them out one by one. Later that day we went to Mimi & Papa's house to celebrate with Aunt Em, Eric, & Tiffany. Our visit there was very short because the Baby was not feeling well & the snow was coming down hard, yes we had a White Christmas!!!! So we had to celebrate a few days later w/ Mimi, Papa, & Aunt Em. Grandaddy & Liz came to spend a few days with us after Christmas, so we got to do some more celebrating. It was great spending time with our loving families!

16-18 Month Update
Big Girl: (well not in size she is still our little pip-squeak, weighing in @ ~21lbs & 30in @ her 18 month appt)
Ellie talks all the time she speaks so clearly that we can understand most of what she says, refers to herself as Ellie or Ellie Kate, climbs on things, loves playing "Get You" w/ Daddy, doing more & more imaginary play, still can be a very shy girl, good at snuggling, starting to get a little bossy/attitude, sings ABCs w/ prompts & has recited the whole thing by herself a couple of times, has counted to 10 on her own a few times, dances w/ her dolls, not fond of napping @ home - we are lucky if we get 1hr & 15 minutes; but at school she naps 2-3hrs...., has 11 teeth & a mullett!!! Her doctor said we could start potty training - uhhhh don't know if we are ready for that! Although Ellie does let us know when she has a poopsie by saying "Poopy, Poopy" !
Fav Food: pizza, spaghetti, peas, brocolli, applesauce, any fruit, cookies, & that is about it!! Picky like her father : )
Cute Things She Does & Says:
Ellie has been doing imaginary play with her baby dolls - the other day she pulled a diaper out of her diaper bag & said "Baby lay down. Diaper. Diaper." Then I found her hiding in the corner of the den w/ her baby doll trying to put the diaper on her baby. I also was spying on her talking to Frosty, she said "Frosty right here. Read it." She was picking up Frosty & moving him to different magazines that she had spread across the floor. She was obessed with "Frosty D Snowan" this holiday season!! We watched the DVD a few times & she would sit still the whole 35 minutes or so & just watch + smile. She has been in do it herself phase for a couple months now. One of her favorite slogans is "Ellie do it." When she does need us she says "Hand, Hand" & that means we must grab her hand & she will lead us to where she needs to go. When she gets hurt she says, "Kiss it. Kiss it." Recently she has been having little diva moments saying, "No Ma'am, No Ma'am" & shaking her head. Both Adam & I say "No Ma'am" when she is doing something she shouldn't be doing - apparently we have been saying a lot of that lately!!
Mommy Moment:
I had an emotional mommy moment a few weeks ago. I was putting Ellie down for a nap & I always sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star as I hold & sway with her. She usually puts her head down on my shoulder, well this one day she decided to look me in the eye & start singing some of the song with me!!! It was such a wonderful moment! Now she sings it with me every time I lay her down, it warms my heart - the joys of being a mommy, LOVE IT!!
