Storytime & Pumpkin Decorating

We went to Scottsdale Farms for storytime & pumpkin decorating. Scottsdale Farms is a Nursery by our house that also has a cafe and sells cute home decor!! I was excited when I found out they host special events for kids around the holidays. Ellie went dressed in her cow costume that Grandaddy & Liz got her. She was "mootiful"! Ellie enjoyed herself & Emma caught some "zzzzs" which made for a successful outing!

Fall is here and "Emma Bean" is growing like a weed! She is such a happy girl! I must say she can't keep her eyes off of her Mommy. She follows my every move & warms my heart with her big smiles directed my way!! Emma is very alert, she has been getting a good workout with her busy arms & legs, her neck is very strong and she has been lifting her head during "Tummy Time" and of course she has been busy watching her Sissy.

I took the girls to a photographer that a friend uses in Gainesville. I was feeling brave taking a 4 week old and a 2 year old to a photo shoot alone!!! It went well besides the fact that I got peed on a few times & a little poopsie too (Emma was naked the majority of the time)! We went out to lunch with Uncle Kevie since he works in Gainesville. Ellie had a big time sitting next to her Uncle at lunch and Emma enjoyed her first resturant experience. After I loaded everyone up in the car I decided to go back to the resuturant to use the bathroom, so I left Kevin in the car with the girls. When I got back in the car both girls were fussing. Kevin looked at me & said "Don't ever do that to me again." : )

Emma is such a sweet sweet baby. Thus far she has been very laid back! She has adapted well to the madness of a loud & very loving "Big Sister". Emma has been sleeping, drinking milk, wiggling, checking out her surroundings and using the bathroom a lot : ) We definitely have to be prepared when changing her diaper. Good thing we have A LOT of diapers!! Cooing and smiling have just begun! We love our little Emma Bean!!!

The house has been busy with newborn duties & a sweet + wild 2 year old! Ellie loves her Preschool and has adjusted well to her teachers & new friends. She also is still excepting of her baby sister : ) She wants everything that is Emma's for example pjs, the playmat, clothes, etc....

Ellie loves her Baby Sister! I am so happy my girls get to experience the amazing bond of sisters! Ellie loves to yell "Where is my Baby Sista?" when Emma is resting. Emma just stares at Ellie with big eyes, I wonder what she is thinking about all the loudness and in your face love???? When Emma was in the hospital I called her Emma Lou. Not really sure why I did this but it just rolled off my tounge so easily. Well I no longer call her this but Ellie has taken to the name and calls her "Emma Lou Lou". It just amazes me how much love Ellie has for her sister she tells her often that she loves her so much and that she is her best friend. I definitely have to keep a close eye on Big Sister because she loves a little too hard on the squeaker. Below are a few pictures of Emma's first couple of weeks bonding with her "Big Sissy".
