Waving, Teeth, & Army Crawl!!!

Our little girl is changing so fast!! I should have posted these great accomplishments as they happened but I have been slacking on the blogging - sorry! About three weeks ago she started waving to herself & us in the mirror. It is so cute, she gets very excited when we are in front of a mirror. She is starting to experiment with waving when we are not in front of the mirror. Her first teeth have broke through the skin, this happened about two weeks ago. I felt something sharp on my finger & to my surprise there were her first bottom teeth pushing through. Wish I could get a picture but it it is hard to position the camera at that angle without her becoming very concerned. Last but not least, Ellie has been getting around by army crawling. She has been doing this for a few weeks now!! It is funny to watch, she just drags her body by using one arm to propel her forward. Just this weekend she has been really getting on all fours, so maybe the real crawl is coming soon. Get ready Mommy & Daddy! -note to self : ) The bug has also been pulling herself up to her knees! She is doing a good job walking as we hold on to her hands, she seems to be very proud of herself when we make it to her destination. More reason to start babyproofing the house now!!

7 months

Time is flying by!! Baby bear turned 7 months on the 11th. 7 months sounds so old!!!!! Only 5 more months until she is a one year old, oh my I love wathing her grow up but I sure do miss those helpless baby days when I could just hold her & love on her without her trying to escape my grip.

Weight: 15lbs 2ozs

Appearence & personality: fuzzy blonde hair on top of her head that sticks straight up but the back is still bald & light brown, chubby rosey cheeks, funny baby talk, when she's excited, she pants, serious at times, very curious, laid back, shy around new people, but silly with people she knows

Milestones: sitting up, rocking & reaching forward, transfering toys from one hand to the other, shaking most everything, standing up on her own while holding on to something for a minute or two!, using the sippy cup with help, drinking out of a big person cup with help (she loves this, she laps the water or milk up like a dog), sitting in a highchair, & banging things

Food likes: oatmeal, bananas, applesauce, sweet potatoes, green beans, & carrots

Food dislikes: peas!!

Loves: Daddy, Teapot that talks, bandstand toy ( she dances - bouncing up/down on her bottom & smiles when it plays music), wiggle toy that makes a silly noise, standing up, The Argosy of Atlanta commerical - everytime this commercial is on she turns her head & smiles, when it is over she goes back to what she was doing, touching people's faces and laughing (which sounds like heavy breathing) at silly noises that Mommy & Daddy make

Mommy thoughts: Ellie has been fussy the last few days! She has been waking during the night & taking very short naps. Her communication has been whining & a weird scream. Took her to the Dr. yesterday & she shined a flashlight on her red gums that had a little white. The glimpse of white is two bottom teeth that are trying to make a debut, so that is to blame for all the fussiness & weirdness. Last night she slept through the night again & today she has been napping well - fingers crossed that our rocky days are coming to an end!!

After a few days of constant fussiness & short naps I had to resort to the T.V. to keep the bear happy for a few minutes while I tried to get some things done. Ellie was very entertained by The Wiggles!

Snowbunny!!!

Ellie got her first snow!! We got a little less than an inch last Thursday, it was beautiful & cold. I know our Ohio family is probably laughing at this : ) but we were very excited!!! Adam left work early on Thursday & the office was closed the next day. We still have a little bit of snow on the ground, it has did not made it above freezing for days but today the high will be 60!!!! Ellie did not know what to think of the snow..... I took her out in it on Thursday when it started to fall & she just had a serious look on her face but that is nothing new :) Thursday night when Adam got home we bundle her up & took her outside - we also did the same on Friday. Ellie just put her arms behind her, I think this is her new thing when she feels unsure of something. Here are some pics of her first snow!! Ready for the cold

Lovebug's 1st Christmas!!!

Wow! We had a blessed & busy Christmas! Ellie got to see lots of family & friends. She was so friendly with everyone. A new thing we learned about Ellie over the holidays is that her cheeks get VERY rosey when she has not gotten enough sleep! I am sure you will notice the beautiful red glow in many of the pictures : ) Lovebug got lots of love & presents over the holidays - thanks everyone. Highlights over Christmas - Cuz Carter came to spend Christmas Eve with Ellie they got to wake up on Christmas morning together!! Cuz didn't come all by himself he brought his Grammie, Uncle Kevie, his mommy (Aunt Lala) & his daddy (Uncle Brandon). We had fun spending the morning in our PJs & opening lots of presents. Ellie was sitting up like a big girl & banging her hands on the presents. Ellie fav present was her wiggler giggler & her blue shoes, they are fun to shake & chew on - thanks!! After they left on Christmas day we packed up & Ellie got to see her Mimi, Papa, Aunt Em, Aunt Tiffany, & Uncle Jason. Ellie had fun chewing on ribbons & sucking on tissue paper. The bug got soooooooooo many wonderful presents, the big hit that night was cabbage patch kid, we got a kick out of watching Ellie try to love on her - thanks!!!! The next day we saw lots of family Uncle Mike & Aunt Jeanie's house. Ellie had fun watching crazy Harrison & Emma Grace. Granddaddy & Liz came to stay with us! It was great seeing y'all. Ellie loved having Granddady & Liz over to play with her & love on her!! She also got to open more presents with them. She loves all her toys but the crab really gets her attention she gives him a good stare down!! Oh my - I almost forgot we also saw the Thomas Family over at Aunt Evelyn's house. Ellie got to see lots of her 2nd cousins, boy how times have changed babies are everywhere!!! Lovebug has been busy eating sweet potatoes, sweet peas (not her fav), carrots, applesauce, & of course her oatmeal. Well, that is alot of information!! We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas & a happy 2010 so far!!! Thanks for all the loving Christmas cards :) Enjoy the pics!! I am sorry they are out of order, there were sooooo many to choose from that I couldn't keep them in order!!!

6 MONTHS!!!!

Our sweet baby turned 6 months on December 11th. She is changing so fast, everyday she discovers something new she can do. She is going to be in everything real soon! Today she was rolling all over the floor & making her way to things she wanted to check out. Once she makes it to what she wants she will lift up & pull on the object. She loves holding/chewing on her pacifier & throwing it on the floor. She also has been busy using her loud voice - I posted a little video so you can hear this wonderful sound!! Adam & I think she yells when we are talking to each other or we have our back to her - uh oh this could be a problem....... She just started holding on to her crib & standing ( Daddy taught her this cool trick). Needless to say she is happy, ACTIVE, & healthy!!!
